Daniela: “I’m proficient in SQL, Python, and Tableau. I’m also familiar with Agile methodologies. I’m always eager to learn new tools and technologies.”

TM2 (Sophia): “Welcome! I’m Sophia. What are you hoping to achieve in your first few weeks?”

Daniela: “My initial goals are to understand the project’s current status, build rapport with each of you, and identify any immediate obstacles we need to address. I want to ensure we have clarity on our goals and prioritize our tasks effectively.”

Daniela: “I’m confident that together we can achieve great things. I’m excited to be a part of this team and contribute to our success. I’m here to support you and help us reach our goals.”

Part 2 – Daniela Initiates a Coaching Conversation (CLEAR approach):

Daniela: “…If there are no more questions for me at this time, I’d like to take a moment to speak with Bill about the project’s current status and how I can best support the team moving forward. Would that be alright?”

TL: “Sure, Daniela. I’m happy to chat. What did you have in mind?”

Daniela: “Thank you. To make the best use of our time, I was hoping we could quickly align on what’s most important right now and how I can best contribute. Does that sound good to you?”

TL: “Yes, that sounds helpful.”

Daniela: “Excellent. From your perspective, what are the top 2-3 priorities for the team in the next quarter?”

TL: “We’re under pressure to deliver the next phase of the project on time and within budget. We’re also facing some obstacles with resource allocation.”

Daniela: “I understand. To help me get a clearer picture, could you tell me more about the specific challenges you’re facing with resource allocation?”

TL: “We have a few team members who are overloaded, and it’s impacting their productivity. We need to find a way to prioritize tasks and distribute the workload more evenly.”

Daniela: “Thank you for sharing. What have you already considered to address the resource allocation issue?”

TL: “We’ve considered re-assigning tasks, but we’re concerned about disrupting the team’s workflow. We’ve also considered bringing in additional resources, but that would require budget approval.”
